Monterey Park's new treatment facility cleans VOC and perchlorate contaminants.

The City of Monterey Park has designed and constructed a facility which cleans groundwater of volatile organic chemicals and perchlorate. Contaminants in the area are believed to result from prior land uses which included agriculture and defense programs. This state of the art facility was built with grants and zero interest loans from SGVMWD.
